Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and a writer. She is most well known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then, she appeared on Broadway in various performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it big in the National Theatre. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina in the following year. Louise first made it to Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's Big Acre, a drama from 1957. The film was a big hit and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. At the time, she joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career across Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious roles, as in contrast to her portrayal as a glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director for popular TV programs like Supernatural and The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
